Icelandic Agricultural Sciences (IAS; www.ias.is) is an open access international journal (ISI journal). It publishes a peer refereed scientific papers on applied life sciences that are relevant under boreal, alpine, arctic, or subarctic conditions. To investigate the visibility of IAS we performed a search in two international bibliometric databases, Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus, on the 15 of Sept. 2023. Altogether 100 IAS papers (2009-2022) were detected in the WoS database and 95 (2010-2022) in the Scopus. These 100 and 95 papers have been cited 673 and 626 times, with the average of 6.7 and 6.6 citations per paper, respectively. The 2022 Journal Impact Factor of IAS is 0.30, the 2022 Journal Citation Indicator is 0.14 and the Cite Score is 0.80. The SCImago Journal Rank is 0.11 and Source Normalized Impact per Paper is 0.28. Hirsch-index is 14. The paper with the highest number of citations deals with dust sources and deposition of aeolian materials in Iceland. The number of research areas of the papers citing IAS is 60 in the WoS database and the number of subject areas is 24 in the Scopus database. The authors of the IAS papers are located at 94 different institutions in 25 countries and on 5 continents. This bibliometric analysis of the IAS reflects a successful and qualified international journal, multiple disciplines of applied natural sciences and productive international collaboration. IAS is well positioned among journals of the same category group.
